Peter Heckmann and Yucca Rose - REVEAL - Art Installation for W-Hotel Bali

Slideshow outlining the original REVEAL Art Installation by Peter Heckmann & Yucca Rose as designed and performed for a VIP Special Event during the W-Hotel and Spa Bali Grand Opening ceremonies in July 2011. 

First installment - W-Hotel, Bali: Contemporary Art Installation for W-Hotel, Bali entitled "Reveal (Seen-Unseen)". All performers are hidden behind screens or fabric depicting the different worlds/realizations according to Balinese Hinduism (Human-Gods). 

The basic geometrical elements - square, triangle and circle - are also used in the Balinese Hindu "canang sari" (offering baskets). The shapes are placed facing in precise directions and are colored to honor specific gods. 

Second installment - Hyatt Hotel, Bali - Commonwealth Tennis Tournament of Champions: A modern theatrical art installation with three of the geometric structures, a group of contemporary dancers, modern break dancers and parcour performers 

This particular performance still utilizes the concept of a close interaction between our visible Human World and the invisible yet ever-present Spiritual World. 

This second installation also features Yucca Rose acting as Guiding Spirit with two live vocal performances.

Peter Heckmann & Yucca Rose visit the amazing movie and theatrical designer/producer Orlando Bassi at his Atelier Bassi / Bali Movie Studios in Bangli, Bali, Indonesia (2011). The three part clip series focuses on the creation (from initial sketches to final realization) of Regalia - The Enchanted Forest , a theatrical show, which was created by Peter Heckmann for a Gala Event and Premiere at the Bali Theatre (Bali Safari Park) on June 4th, 2011. This third part showcases some of the mask, creature and set realizations by Orlando Bassi and his team based on the original sketches and initial ideas by Peter Heckmann and Yucca Rose. The three part clip series focuses on the creation (from initial sketches to final realization) of Regalia - The Enchanted Forest , a theatrical show, which was created by Peter Heckmann for a Gala Event and Premiere at the Bali Theatre (Bali Safari Park) on June 4th, 2011. This second segment begins with the original sketches and initial ideas designed by Yucca Rose and then ends with the full realization and presentation of the show. Show Story: A romantic love story set in the surreal and mystical environment of the Enchanted Forest of Regalia - a moving tale of the intricate intertwining between the Human World and Nature’s creatures and the delicate balance and harmony with the ever present Spiritual World as told in Indonesian folklore tradition, yet interpreted in a new and exciting modern way.
