Opening Ceremony Cost: approx. $ 57.5 Million

Main stage: 26 m high by 120 m long by 30 m wide – weighing 600 tons – designed as a typical Indonesian mountain landscape dominated by imposing rolling green hills and streams in the front - topped by a smoldering volcano and a large waterfall in the center of this extravagant set, all blanketed by a lush foliage of indigenous Indonesian trees, plants and flowers – all beautifully depicting the natural beauty of Indonesia. (Note: The entire set surface was fully projection mapped)

Show Segments:
The first creative segment, depicting the four elements of Water, Earth, Wind and Fire; showcased visually stunning performances by thousands of dancers and numerous highly regarded solo artists from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua and Bali in (mostly) traditional costumes, illustrating the rich history, unique traditions and the diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds of the Indonesian archipelago.

The second creative segment called Energy Of Asia, opened with Anggun, the Indonesian born Superstar and culminated with performances by young dancers and local vocal performers, representing the future generation helping to build a new and successful Indonesia – a Beacon of Hope for a modern and vibrant country.
